Enhancing Off-roading Experience for Saudi

Tourism

Dalila, Your Go-To Off-Roading App in Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦

Boosting Tourism and off-roading in the Kingdom

[Context]

Dalila is a mobile application designed to support off-road exploration in Saudi Arabia—where navigation, terrain, and trust matter more than speed or novelty.

The challenge wasn’t simply building an app.
It was designing an experience that people would rely on when certainty matters.

[My Role]

Creative direction, Experience Strategy and Interface Design.

[The Challenge]

Off-roading environments are inherently unpredictable.
Signal is limited. Landmarks are unfamiliar. Mistakes carry consequences.

Most existing solutions focus on features.
Dalila needed to focus on confidence.

[Experience Direction]

The product was designed around three core ideas:

Orientation over exploration

Users need to understand where they are before deciding where to go.

Progressive complexity

Advanced features appear only when they’re relevant.

[Visual Language]

The visual system

was intentionally restrained.

Contrast, typography, and spacing were used to create hierarchy without distraction.
Color was applied sparingly—serving function before expression.

The result is an interface that feels composed, even in uncertain terrain.

Designed with restraint. Built for trust.
